1. Who we are
WiscoMed Supply Co. (“WiscoMed”, “we”, “us”) is an independent medical and facility supply distributor registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. Our registered place of business is 54 Horseshoe Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The business is owned and operated by Matthew Clayton, who is also the point of contact for all privacy matters.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through wiscomed.com and in the course of doing business with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
2. Information you give us
We collect information you provide directly, including:
- Contact details — name, business email address, telephone number, practice or organisation name and delivery address.
- Enquiry content — the products, volumes and requirements you describe when requesting a quote, and any documents you attach to an email.
- Account and trading information — billing address, purchase order references, tax and resale certificates, and (for Net-30 applicants) trade references and credit information.
- Correspondence — records of emails, quotes, order confirmations and phone notes relating to your account.
We do not intentionally collect patient information, protected health information, or any special category data through this website. Please do not send patient-identifying information to us.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, wiscomed.com records limited technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit. This data is generated by our web server and by any analytics or advertising technologies you have consented to.
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies operated by Microsoft Advertising, Bing and Google, are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner.
4. How we use your information
We process personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare written quotations;
- set up, verify and administer trade accounts, including credit assessment where Net-30 terms are requested;
- process, pick, deliver and invoice orders, and to handle returns, damages and recalls;
- maintain lot traceability records required for the safe distribution of medical products;
- send transactional messages such as order confirmations, delivery notices and recall alerts;
- send occasional service updates or price-change notices to existing customers, which you may opt out of at any time;
- measure how our website and advertising perform, where you have consented to that measurement;
- comply with tax, accounting, product-safety and other legal obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where a legal-basis framework applies to you, we rely on: performance of a contract (administering your account and orders); legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries, preventing fraud, improving our service and securing our systems); consent (non-essential cookies and any marketing email you opt into); and legal obligation (retaining transaction and traceability records).
6. Advertising and measurement
We advertise our services online, including through Microsoft Advertising (Bing), and we use conversion measurement tags to understand which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries. Where you consent, these tags may set cookies or similar identifiers and share limited event data (such as ‘a quote request form was opened’) with the advertising platform.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share the content of your enquiry with advertising platforms. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in our footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
7. Sharing your information
We share personal information only where necessary, and only with:
- Delivery and freight partners — name, delivery address and phone number, so goods reach the right dock.
- Payment processors and our bank — to raise and collect invoices. Card details are handled by the processor, never stored by us.
- Our accountants and professional advisers — under confidentiality obligations.
- Software providers — email, order management and website hosting suppliers acting on our instructions.
- Manufacturers or regulators — where a product recall or safety notice requires us to identify affected consignees.
- Law enforcement or courts — where we are legally required to disclose.
We never sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
8. Data retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an account are deleted within 24 months. Customer account, order and invoice records are retained for seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Lot traceability records for medical products are retained for a minimum of seven years from the date of shipment, or longer where the manufacturer’s device documentation requires it. Cookie-based analytics data is retained according to the settings described in our Cookie Policy.
9. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. These include TLS encryption on this website, access controls and unique logins on our order and accounting systems, restricted physical access to our Horseshoe Lane premises, staff confidentiality obligations, and routine backups. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; please do not send sensitive information by unencrypted email.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent previously given.
Residents of California may, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of any ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ of personal information. WiscoMed does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
To make a request, email postmaster@wiscomed.com or call 484-372-4206. We will verify your identity using information already held on your account and respond within 45 days, extendable once where permitted by law. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
11. Children
Our website and services are directed exclusively at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International visitors
WiscoMed operates in the United States, and information you provide is processed and stored in the United States. If you access this website from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law. Data protection law in the United States may differ from that of your country of residence.
13. Third-party links
This website may link to manufacturer datasheets, regulatory notices or other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
