Frequently asked questions
Eighteen answers covering accounts, delivery, payment, returns, recalls and how we work. If yours is not here, call 484-372-4206 and ask.
Do I need a business or professional license to order?
Yes. We sell to licensed healthcare practices, care facilities, businesses, schools and public bodies. For clinical items we ask for a practice name, address and, where relevant, a license or NPI number during account setup. We do not sell to private individuals.
Is there a minimum order value?
There is no contractual minimum. Orders below $75 carry a $9.50 handling charge. Orders of $75 or more deliver free within Zones 1 to 3; freight zones are quoted at cost.
How quickly will my order arrive?
In-stock items ordered before 3:00 PM ET arrive the next business day in Zones 1 and 2. Zone 3 is one to two business days, Zone 4 is two, and Zone 5 is two to four. Special-order items are quoted with a lead time before we place them.
Can I get an emergency delivery?
Existing accounts in Zones 1 and 2 can request a same-day run before 1:00 PM ET, subject to stock and driver availability. There is a flat $45 expedite fee. We have never charged it to an account when the shortage was our error.
What payment methods do you accept?
ACH transfer, business check, and Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. New accounts pay by card or ACH for their first three orders. After that, Net-30 terms are available subject to a short credit review.
Do you store my card details on this website?
No. This website does not process payments and does not collect card numbers. Payment is arranged directly through our office or via a secure invoice link issued by our payment processor.
Can you match another supplier's price?
Often, on identical manufacturer, model and pack size. Email the competing quote to postmaster@wiscomed.com and you will get a written answer within two business days. If we cannot match it we will tell you plainly rather than stall.
Do you carry the specific brand my clinicians prefer?
If we do not stock it, we will source it. Brand loyalty in clinical settings is usually well earned, and we will not push a substitution your staff have not approved.
What is your return policy?
Unopened, non-sterile, non-custom stock items may be returned within 30 days in resalable condition. Sterile, refrigerated, custom and special-order items are non-returnable unless defective or shipped in error. Full detail is on the Shipping & Returns page.
Something arrived damaged. What now?
Note it on the delivery paperwork if you can, then call 484-372-4206 or email us within 5 business days with photographs. Replacements for damaged or mis-shipped goods go out on the next available route at no charge.
How do you handle product recalls?
Inbound lot numbers are recorded at receipt and against every outbound clinical line. When a recall or field-safety notice affects a lot we have shipped, we identify affected accounts, email the named contact the same day and follow up by phone.
What shelf life will I receive on sterile products?
A minimum of 12 months remaining shelf life on sterile goods unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing for a short-dated, discounted lot.
Can you deliver to multiple sites on one account?
Yes. Multi-site groups run a single account with per-site delivery addresses, per-site par levels and either separate or consolidated monthly invoicing — your choice.
Do you complete vendor onboarding paperwork?
Yes, routinely. W-9, certificates of insurance, product liability summaries, supplier questionnaires and portal registrations are returned within one business day.
Are you a minority-owned or certified diverse supplier?
WiscoMed is an independent, owner-operated Pennsylvania business. We do not currently hold diverse-supplier certification and will not claim otherwise on a procurement form.
Do you offer consignment or on-site stock?
For accounts above roughly $6,000 in monthly spend we will discuss consigned stock of high-turn items held on your site and invoiced on consumption.
How do I cancel or pause a standing order?
Email or call your account manager with 48 hours notice before the delivery day. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period on the account itself.
Who owns WiscoMed Supply Co.?
Matthew Clayton has owned and run the business since founding it in 2011. There is no outside investment and no parent group.
